Hi! I am basically happy and cherish my life. I am not working at the moment although I have just finished a contract at the local hospital.. In a relationship I'm looking for celebration, joy, the attitude of gratitude. I think most of my childhood wounds are behind me, and I want a relationship more defined by where we are going than where we have come from. Creativity and openness to discovery are important. I'm not afraid of conflicts and see them as doorways to learning, but good 'process' is critical and compassionate listening essential for that to happen. I am responsible. I am willing enough to feel the sorrow of life without flinching, but my heart is with the joy and wonder. I keep agreements, generally communicate well, and recognize we all have parts of ourselves we have difficulty embracing. I am as interested in the unknown as the known. I'm interested in how our personal stories fit into larger questions of meaning and values. I look there for heart and soul. It's important to have a larger and a human-sized life, and I try to keep one foot in each to feel grounded and balanced. I am physically affectionate. I like contact, and I think the woman and girl in me are on friendly terms. I am a person who has a disability (partial) and although I have before my disability, love to bike ride, hike, ski, and most things outdoors. I now find myself filling my life with new things to do and achieve that are just as fulfilling maybe not as energetic or exhilarating but that is life. I now find new passion in, computers, singing, music, karoke, volunteer work, being around people. I have a sense of humour, laugh a lot, and have a quick associative mind that wanders toward zaniness. I’m educated to an extent and intelligent. I have values and my values are non-materialistic. Money isn't that important to me, although you have to have some to get by with. I love poetry, language that opens rather than limits, those moments when something larger than the literal or sensible form enters. I love life and I like me for who I am, not only from the outside but rather from within.
